Summary
Reincarnated as the story’s antagonist, she strives to avoid interfering with the heroine’s romantic fate. Yet the female lead unexpectedly approaches her, seeking help to end her engagement to the prince. “Let’s at least act like partners,” the heroine begs, but the villainess declines. She knows their abilities are mismatched—she is merely an average mage, while the knight is far more powerful. “People like us shouldn’t even try,” she states coldly. The knight stares back, bewildered and hurt. “Are we truly nothing to each other?” he asks, voice tight with emotion. She stays silent, accepting that some truths must be spoken, no matter how painful.
