Summary
Weary of urban exhaustion, Haerang returns to his grandmother’s rural home, a landscape steeped in his earliest recollections. He finds Miro, a cherished friend from long ago, yet their reunion is strained. The village buzzes with intrusive gossip, and the local youth treat him as an outsider. Undeterred, Haerang gently tries to close the emotional gap with a wary and frightened Miro. Both bear hidden wounds: Haerang confronts prejudice over his gentle nature and appearance, while Miro struggles with the lasting pain of being a biracial child in a judgmental community. Alongside peers like Daeseok and Ok-hee, who face their own forms of societal exclusion, they form a fragile circle of understanding. Together, they embark on a quiet journey of mutual healing, learning to lean on one another through their collective hardships.
