Summary
Princess Thetis of the Carnes Empire saw her future crumble when her betrothed, Romain, betrayed her. Under the pretense of an impending attack, he tricked her into surrendering her imperial seal, using it to falsely accuse her brother of treason and have him executed. Romain then slaughtered the imperial line, claimed the throne, and banished Thetis to a secluded monastery. Choosing vengeance over despair, she returned to the capital.
